Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Flowboard collects, uses, and shares information for the Flowboard family dashboard service. This is an early access product, so the service may change as we learn from limited release usage.

Information We Collect

  • Account information such as your name, email address, profile image, and authentication provider details.
  • Family workspace information such as family name, members, roles, invitations, device pairings, settings, chores, announcements, and display preferences.
  • Photos and related file metadata that you upload for family displays.
  • Calendar, task, and feed information from accounts or sources you choose to connect, limited to what is needed to show your family schedule.
  • Billing information needed to manage subscriptions and payments. Payment card details are handled by our payment processor and are not stored by Flowboard.
  • Location information you provide, such as a postal code, used to show local information like weather.
  • Technical and usage information such as device status, polling activity, IP-derived request data, browser details, errors, performance timings, and application logs.

How We Use Information

  • To operate Flowboard, authenticate users, manage families, show dashboards, sync calendars, pair devices, and display uploaded content.
  • To show local information such as weather based on a postal code you provide.
  • To enforce account, family, storage, invitation, member, photo, and device limits.
  • To troubleshoot failed invites, failed uploads, failed device polling, auth callback failures, slow pages, and other reliability issues.
  • To protect the service, prevent abuse, and maintain basic security.
  • To communicate with you about your account or important service updates.

Google Data

  • Flowboard only uses Google Calendar access to show calendar information inside your Flowboard family experience.
  • Flowboard only uses Google Tasks access to show task information inside your Flowboard family experience.
  • Flowboard does not sell Google user data or use it for advertising.
  • Flowboard does not use Google user data to train AI models.
  • Flowboard's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
  • You can disconnect Google Calendar in Flowboard where that option is available, and you can revoke access from your Google Account permissions page.

Sharing

  • Family content may be visible to other members of the same Flowboard family according to their role and permissions.
  • We use third-party service providers to host, store, operate, secure, and support the service, including a payment processor for subscriptions.
  • When you connect an outside calendar, task, or feed, we exchange the information needed with that source to show it on your display.
  • We may disclose information when required by law or to protect Flowboard, users, or the public.

Cookies and Local Storage

  • We use cookies and similar local storage to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, secure the service, and understand how visitors find Flowboard.
  • You can control cookies through your browser, though some are needed for the service to work.

Retention and Deletion

  • We keep information while your account or family workspace is active or as needed to provide the service.
  • Uploaded content, family data, and connected calendar settings may be deleted when you remove them in the app or request deletion.
  • Inactive Free plan family workspaces may be deleted after 30 days with no dashboard sign-in activity and no active display connection activity.
  • When inactive Free plan workspace data is removed, we may retain minimal account history such as trial dates, plan choice, and billing identifiers to prevent trial abuse, support reactivation, and maintain billing integrity.
  • Operational logs may be kept for a limited period for security, debugging, and reliability.

Security

  • We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards for an early access family product.
  • No online service can guarantee perfect security, so you should only upload content you are comfortable storing in Flowboard.

Children

  • Flowboard is intended for use by adults managing a family display or family workspace.
  • Do not create accounts for children unless you are their parent or guardian and have authority to do so.
  • If you add children to your family workspace, any profile information about them, such as a name, photo, and chore or reward activity, is provided and managed by you as the parent or guardian. You are responsible for the information you add about a child, and you can delete it at any time.
